Secure Payment System & Private Policy

You can pay by MasterCard, any card with the Visa badge on it (including Electron, Delta, etc.), Switch or Maestro over our secure server, where all of your details are encrypted for your security. If you prefer not to give your card details over the internet, contact us and we will be happy to take your order over the telephone with your card. Sending cash is not such a good idea. WE DO NOT PASS ON ANY OF THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT TO ANYBODY ELSE.

If you wish to opt out of any of our email lists, you can do so by replying with 'NO EMAIL' in the subject line.

Delivery

We will endeavour to despatch orders placed before noon (local time) on the same day, subject to stock. Items under 2kg are sent Royal Mail First Class; this means you will usually receive your order within 1-2 working days. Items over 2kg are sent Parcelforce Standard, delivery is usually around 3 days. See Royal Mail for details.

All orders are subject to a carriage charge unless otherwise stated. Carriage charges shown on this website are for UK delivery only; if you require international delivery, either contact us prior to placing your order, or we will contact you on receipt of your order with an amended charge - you will have the opportunity to cancel your order at this time.

Guarantee & Returns

Finished products and Kenwood attachments are guaranteed for twelve months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Repairs or exchange will be carried out on return of the faulty goods to the address below. Please note that all products are sold as suitable for domestic use only. Please ensure that products used commercially are covered by appropriate insurance, as they are not covered by the guarantee.

Spare parts are guaranteed for six months from the date of purchase provided they have been fitted by a qualified engineer. Replacements will be despatched on receipt of the faulty part.

Non-faulty returns are subject to a 25% restocking charge. Post and packing is non-refundable in these cases.

IMPORTANT! Please enclose your name and address, invoice number and a brief description of the fault, if any, with all returns. Failure to do this will result in delays.

Any Other Business

All goods remain the property of Billington's until payment has been received in full. All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. We reserve the right to change any price without prior notice. We try to ensure that all prices displayed on our website are accurate, however all prices will be validated by us before processing your order. If any price change has occurred, we will contact you to advise you of any increase and give you the opportunity to cancel your order. All sizes and measurements are approximate. By using our website you consent to our terms and conditions. If these should change, the details will be posted on this page so you can always be aware of them. No contract will exist unless and until we accept your order by e-mail. None of these terms and conditions effect your statutory rights.

WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

• Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.
• Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

Billington's Electrical is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us. For example, if a customer bought a new toaster from us we would accept their old toaster and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below:



Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
